SINGAPORE. This January welcomes the second edition of Art Stage Singapore
21/12/2011 14:47:34

Art Stage Singapore is Asia’s premier international art fair. It is a rendezvous point for the movers and shakers of the Asian Art market. Art Stage embraces Singapore’s unique position as a bridge between the East and the West in a celebration of both emerging new regional artists and international superstar names.

In 2012, Art Stage Singapore (ArtSS12) will be held on 12 to 15 January at the Marina Bay Sands Convention and Exhibition Centre. Thanks to the ambition of Art Basel's former director, Lorenzo Rudolf, Singapore is diving with full force into the art market. Art Stage Singapore 2012 presents significant and stunning large installation works, created exclusively for the fair by international artists like Antony Gormley, Chen Zhen, Rirkrit Tiravanija. 120 galleries from 18 countries, plus 50 special projects and presentations will descend on the Marina Bay Sands, sweeping visitors through a panoramic tour of all the best and boldest art Asia has to offer. From intricately detailed sculptures to huge paintings, there is a wide spectrum of awe-inspiring pieces to experience at this year’s fair.
