18/10/2011 11:15:40

Qatar Museums Authority (QMA) announced that it will open a new recreational destination on December 16, 2011.

The new seafront MIA Park is nearly 280,000-square-meter (68-acre), crescent-shaped and designed by Pei Partnership Architects of New York. It will feature a vertical steel sculpture by internationally acclaimed American sculpture artist Richard Serra. The sculpture is Richard Serra’s first public artwork in the Middle East.
