At the Museum of Art in Lima is on display the exhibition Jorge Piqueras: de la estructura al estallido. Una geometría en proceso 1952-1959, atribute to the artist who left a remarkable mark in Peruvian plastic arts. The exhibition displays the artist’s process from sculpture to painting. In fact he abandoned the plastic forms to choose an abstract style in two-dimensional works. His work is also an essay of the brief period of the geometric art in Lima, which was between 1945 and 1955.
